Ocean Marina is built within a rock breakwater, with 450 berths in front of two high-rise hotel and condominium towers. It is easy to spot from seaward. Permission is required to enter from the Harbour Master on VHF Ch.12 during office hours. A limited number of superyacht berths up to 50 metres are available.
The entrance is quite shallow at low tide and deep draft vessels should seek advice from the marina on current depths. It is possible to anchor outside the entrance, away from the channel in 4-5 metres on sandy bottom.
Facilities ashore include a travel lift, hard standing facilities, shipwright services, electricians, fork lift, boat ramp, sailing school, charter operators and chandlery where services can be arranged.
In recent years the sailing activities have increased greatly and now regular racing weekends are organised from the marina. This remains, at time of writing, the only marina on the eastern seaboard mainland down to the Cambodian border. www.oceanmarinayachtclub.com
