This channel makes an excellent first and last night anchorage as it is only 15 miles from Kawthaung.

BARWELL SAND SPIT. 10°8.170N, 98°18.942E

A beautiful anchorage just to the southwest of the sand spit in 8-10 metres of water on a white sand bottom. the surrounding islands offer all-round protection.

B BARWELL CHANNEL 15 miles from Kawthaung

BARWELL CHANNEL. 10°07.982N, 98°19.115E

Superb protection can be found mid channel. anchor in 10-12 metres on white sand.
