QINGDAO INTERNATIONAL YACHT CLUB (QIYC). 36°3.411N, 120°23.113E

This members-only club, founded in 2005, is in the Qingdao Olympic Sailing Center & International Marina in Fushan Bay. Team QIYC competed in the 2007 Louis Vuitton Cup to challenge for the America’s Cup, as well as in the Volvo Ocean Race 2008 and 2009.

The clubhouse was previously used as the Media Centre during the Olympic sailing events. The club has 460 berths, two floating launch ramps, four 3-ton single-arm cranes, and one 75-ton mobile gantry crane.

North Port and South Port can accommodate yachts 36‑100 metres respectively. Average depth of the harbour basin is 6-8 metres. The club provides professional boat maintenance and sail training programs.
